Create & Publish Personas

Build your own agent persona and share it on SOUL Hub

Anyone with a Claw Buff account can create and publish personas on SOUL Hub.

Creating a Persona

Navigate to SOUL Hub and click New in the top bar.

Identity (Left Panel)

Fill in the basic identity fields:

FieldRequiredDescription
NameYesThe persona's display name
EmojiNoA single emoji that represents the persona
CreatureNoA short creature/character description
VibeNoOne-line personality summary
AvatarNoSquare image, max 10 MB. Will be cropped to 1:1.
DescriptionFor publishShort summary shown on the card (max 280 chars)
TagsFor publishAt least one category tag

SOUL Editor (Right Panel)

Write the persona's SOUL.md — this is the core personality definition. The editor supports Markdown with a live preview toggle.

A good SOUL.md follows this structure:

# SOUL.md — Persona Name

## Core Truths
What this persona believes and how it approaches its work.
Each truth should be bold + explained.

## Boundaries
What the persona will NOT do. Hard limits.

## Vibe
The overall energy and communication style.

## Continuity
How the persona should use conversation history.

SOUL.md must be at least 50 characters. For publish, you also need a description and at least one tag.

Live Preview

The card preview at the bottom of the left panel shows how your persona will look in the marketplace — updating as you type.

Saving

  • Save Draft — Saves without publishing. Only you can see drafts.
  • Publish — Makes the persona visible to everyone on SOUL Hub.

You can switch between draft and published at any time by editing the persona.

Uploading an Avatar

  1. Click the avatar upload area
  2. Select an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF)
  3. Use the crop tool to adjust the square crop area
  4. Click Crop & Upload

The image is stored on Cloudflare R2 and served via CDN with automatic resizing for different display sizes.

A good avatar makes your persona stand out in the marketplace. Use a distinctive, recognizable image that matches the persona's vibe.

Editing

To edit a published persona, navigate to My Personas → click your persona → you'll see an edit button if you're the author. All fields can be modified, including the SOUL.md and status (draft/published).

Best Practices

  1. Be specific in Core Truths. "Be helpful" is generic. "Always show the fix alongside the problem" is actionable.
  2. Set real Boundaries. Define what the persona won't do — this prevents misuse and builds trust.
  3. Write a distinctive Vibe. The vibe section is what makes your persona feel alive. Compare "professional and helpful" with "a surgeon who operates on codebases — cold, precise, zero tolerance for mess."
  4. Test before publishing. Apply the persona to your own agent and have a few conversations to verify the personality works as intended.
  5. Write a clear description. This is what users see first on the card. Make it concrete — what will this persona actually do for them?
